Community event entertainment in Abilene, TX
Some of our favorite days aren’t birthday parties at all. They’re festivals, block parties, fun runs, grand openings and downtown Abilene events where the whole town shows up. Our air-conditioned video game trailer is one of the easiest festival rentals in Abilene and the Big Country: we park, power up on solar and keep the line moving all day.

DOWNTOWN ABILENE EVENTS
Grain Theory’s 5th Annual Downtown Oktoberfest
Grain Theory is a downtown Abilene brewpub started by three local homebrewers as a community gathering spot, and their Downtown Oktoberfest street party shows it. This year’s celebration filled downtown and Cypress Plaza with live bands on the main stage, best-dressed, best-beard and stein-holding competitions, food trucks, local vendors and nonprofits.
We parked the Green Games trailer right in the middle of it and ran free 15-minute video game sessions all evening. Kids squared off with their parents, friends cheered from the benches, and the line kept moving well after the sun went down.
Our friends at Jumps & Tents for Events sponsored the inflatable obstacle course, and our friends at Show Cones kept everyone cool with snow cones. It’s exactly the kind of local teamwork we love to be part of. Thank you, Grain Theory, for having us!

Grain Theory Block Party
Grain Theory’s block party turns the street outside the brewpub into a downtown Abilene party, with a DJ, white vendor tents and long tables of neighbors (2024 even had a stilt walker). We’ve parked the trailer there every year since 2024 so the kids have somewhere to cheer, too.

The Abilene Youth Sports Authority opened its new outdoor soccer complex, the ROC, with a grand opening day that included a 5K, food trucks and games. We set up beside the fields so runners, players and their siblings had a shady spot to play.

WHY IT WORKS
Festival rentals built for a crowd
Short sessions keep the line moving
At festivals we run quick, timed sessions (15 minutes at Oktoberfest) so as many guests as possible get a turn, and our Game Coach keeps everyone rotating smoothly.
Room for a crowd
Up to 16 guests can play at once, usually 12–16, with seating for spectators. Kids, teens and grown-ups all find a game they love.
Quiet solar power
Our gaming setup runs on solar power and batteries, so there’s no gas generator droning next to your stage, vendors or food trucks. And the trailer is air-conditioned.
Fully insured
We carry automotive and general liability coverage. If your city, venue or organization needs proof of insurance, we’ll send it over.

QUESTIONS
Community event FAQ
Can Green Games bring the trailer to our community event in Abilene?
Yes! We love joining festivals, block parties, fun runs, grand openings, fundraisers, school and church events across Abilene and the Big Country. Tell us about your event and we’ll help you plan the setup.
How do free-play sessions work at a festival?
The host or a sponsor books the trailer, and guests play for free in short, timed sessions. At Grain Theory’s Downtown Oktoberfest we ran 15-minute sessions so lots of families could take a turn.
Can you set up at a 5K, fun run or grand opening?
Absolutely. We’ve set up at the grand opening of the ROC soccer complex in Abilene, which also had a 5K, and at a 5K in Baird. The trailer gives families something fun to do before and after the race.
How much does it cost to rent the game trailer for a festival?
Our rates are $150/hr on weekdays and $175/hr on weekends, with a 2-hour minimum. Schools, non-profits, teachers and military get discounts, and schools and churches get tax-exempt pricing.
Do you need power at our event?
Our gaming setup uses solar power and batteries, so there’s no gas generator. Tell us about your location and we’ll confirm everything the setup needs before the day.
Can we add virtual reality to our event?
Yes. VR is an add-on we’ve been bringing to events since the AYSA expo in 2024. See our virtual reality page for the games and the space it needs.
Do you travel outside Abilene?
Yes! We generally travel up to an hour away. Travel is free within about 10 miles of Abilene; beyond that it’s just $1.25 per mile each way.
Are you insured?
Yes! We’re fully insured with both automotive and general liability coverage. If your venue or organization needs proof of insurance, just let us know.
